Concept Development Footwear Designer and Researcher
Liz Ciokajlo brings years experience working as a product, furniture and fashion accessories designer to her approach to footwear.
The aim in the work is to bring a fresh look at how materials and technologies can underpin and reshape fashion footwear at the most emotive levels. The focus of the work is bio and natural materials, emerging techologies, the body and how this will alter footwear constructions seeing this combination as futuristic and decisively female.
Remaining independent she is a concept design consultant with footwear companies, works collaboratively with artist, designers and science based specialist and produces her own creative research work, gives talks and exhibits internationally.
Having graduated from London College of Fashion with a Distinction in Masters of Fashion Footwear in early 2013 she was nominated for The Arts Foundation Material innovation Fellowship 2014, a finalist for International Talent Support 2013 Accessories, Awarded SEED funding from UAL and given The DATO Jimmy Choo Cordwainers Award.
